How it works
AtriplaEmtriva
Atripla (Efavirenz / Emtricitabine / Tenofovir) is a combination pill that contains three antiretroviral (ARV) drugs: tenofovir and emtricitabine (two nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors) and efavirenz (a non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor). It prevents the HIV-1 virus from multiplying and producing new viruses.emtricitabine stops the replication of the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) within important cells of the body by preventing the virus from taking over normal functions of the cell for its own purposes.
