      • You're less likely with this formulation to transfer testosterone topical solution to another person since this is applied to the armpits -- unlike some other forms of topical testosterone.
      • You can use your regular deodorant or antiperspirant, but just make sure to apply that first before using testosterone topical solution.
      • Unlike topical forms of testosterone like gels or solutions, you can't transfer this medication to another person accidentally by skin-to-skin contact.
      • If you use it correctly, it won't come off of your gums during eating or drinking.

      Tips from our pharmacists for people taking the medication

      • Prime testosterone topical solution first by pumping 3 times before you use a new bottle.
      • If you use deodorant or antiperspirant, apply that first before using testosterone topical solution.
      • Don't swim or bathe for at least 2 hours after you put on testosterone topical solution so that it has time to absorb.
      • Cover the area with clothing as soon as it's dry so you don't spread it to other people.
      • If you think you'll have skin-to-skin contact at the area where you've placed testosterone topical solution, wash that area with soap and water then dry.
      • Don't use testosterone topical solution anywhere besides your armpits.
      • Place the rounded side of the testosterone tablet on gums right above your incisor (canine) tooth, close your mouth, then hold the tablet against the gums by placing your finger over your lip where the tablet is placed for 30 seconds. Switch sides for each new tablet you use.
      • Make sure that the tablet is still there after you're done eating or drinking.
      • If the tablet falls off your gum within 8 hours of putting it on, you can put a new tablet on for a total of 12 hours, then put on a new one at the regularly scheduled time.
      • Do your brushing and flossing and other mouth care before you put the testosterone tablet on your gums.
