This can happen if you are unable to move around or have cancer. If you notice a metallic taste in your mouth, muscle or joint pain or a bad headache, talk to your doctor, since they may have to stop the medication.

    • Your doctor will show you how to inject this correctly.
    • Can cause nausea, vomiting and headache.
    • Can cause increased acne and changes in sex drive.
    • Keep this medication locked up and away from children since it's a controlled substance.
    • Place the rounded side of the testosterone tablet on gums right above your incisor (canine) tooth, close your mouth, then hold the tablet against the gums by placing your finger over your lip where the tablet is placed for 30 seconds. Switch sides for each new tablet you use.
    • Make sure that the tablet is still there after you're done eating or drinking.
    • If the tablet falls off your gum within 8 hours of putting it on, you can put a new tablet on for a total of 12 hours, then put on a new one at the regularly scheduled time.
    • Do your brushing and flossing and other mouth care before you put the testosterone tablet on your gums.
