Comtan (entacapone) is a COMT inhibitor. It prevents levodopa from breaking down before it enters the brain.Duopa (carbidopa / levodopa) is a combination of carbidopa and levodopa. Carbidopa allows levodopa to enter the brain and relieve symptoms of Parkinson's disease.
