About Bacterial vaginosis

Bacterial vaginosis (BV) is an infection caused by an imbalance of "good" and "bad" bacteria inside the vagina. Experts don't know exactly why some people get it, but it seems to be linked to douching, or having a new sex partner or multiple sex partners at once -- though it's not technically a sexually transmitted infection.

Symptoms of Bacterial vaginosis

 • Vaginal pain, itching, or burning
 • Unpleasant, fishy vaginal odor

Burning with urination
