  • My brain felt great, but my body did not - experienced weight gain and severe constipation.
    Gender: Woman
    Taken for: Depression
    Duration taken: A few months
  • Abilify caused severe constipation for me. To the point that I had to stop taking it. I tried everything that would normal help with constipation and none of it worked.
    Age: 36
    Gender: Man
    Taken for: Depression
Duration taken: A year or so
  • I found taking it in the late afternoon helps better than before bed. Also try your best to avoid alcohol, weed (or harder drugs) and cigarettes - from personal experience it all messes with your brain and make it less effective.
    Age: 16
    Gender: Woman
Taken for: Bipolar I disorder (manic)
Duration taken: A month or so
  • Nausea only lasts a week then goes away. Didn't make me tired. It helped with motivation and concentration. I did gain 10 lbs.
    Age: 29
    Gender: Man
    Taken for: Depression
  • Makes me feel sick to the stomach. It supposedly makes you energized but after taking it I am extremely tired and weak. I take it in the morning, but I can't sleep because of it, I wake up in every single hour.
    Age: 16
    Gender: Woman
    Taken for: Schizophrenia
  • Overall effective in slowing rapid cycling, and taking the edge off of the mania and depression. Still needed valporate to finish the job, but it is still worth it.
    Age: 17
    Gender: Man
    Taken for: Schizophrenia
  • Came off Olanzapine due to long term issues with weight gain. I certainly didn't feel hungry on Aripiprazole but I felt manic, couldn't sleep properly and symptoms of anxiety and paranoia came back.

    Gender: Woman
    Taken for: Schizophrenia
  • At 5 mg made me compulsive and developed a gambling problem. It also made me lazy. I cut my dosage in half and the compulsiveness was easier to control. No sexual side effects that I've noticed. Which is great compared to otyer meds. It works great for me at this dosage.
