Hassle?Is it a hassle?
  • For me, it is very necessary to eat a big meal before my dose or else it will be near impossible to eat a full meal for the duration of the day
    Age: 21
    Gender: Man
    Taken for: ADHD
Duration taken: Two years or more
  • Be sure to drink lots of water, and eat lots of calorie-dense foods. Useful though it is, Adderall might make you forget to eat (like it did me, whenever I changed my dosage) and that can mean trouble.
    Age: 21
    Gender: Woman
Duration taken: Two years or more
  • Eat well and don't take it late at night. It took me two years of making that same mistake to finally realize that was the reason it was losing most of its effectiveness and not because of tolerance.
    Gender: Man
Duration taken: Two years or more
  • I wish I had known that over time I would build up a tolerance to adderall.
    Age: 47
    Gender: Woman
    Taken for: ADHD
Duration taken: Two years or more
  • I would have started taking it sooner if I had known how well it works
    Age: 67
    Gender: Woman
    Taken for: ADHD
Duration taken: Two years or more
  • Monitor your caffeine intake because in combo with Adderall it can make you jittery or anxious. And try to leave several hours for it to get out of your system before bedtime.
    Age: 21
    Gender: Woman
    Taken for: ADHD
Duration taken: A year or so
  • Find the right dosage and stick with it - don't take it "as needed." Expect some sleeping hassles, and watch your diet.
    Age: 58
    Gender: Man
    Taken for: ADHD
    Duration taken: A few months
  • I have severe ADHD, my Adderall helps me immensely with my day-to-day work. I still have an appetite and it doesn't effect my sleeping unless I take it in the late afternoon. Overall I think it helps someone a lot with diagnosed ADHD.
    Age: 20
    Gender: Man
    Taken for: ADHD
Duration taken: Two years or more
  • It makes you uncomfortably jittery, makes you unnaturally awake, it lost its effectiveness within 1 week. It also makes you have extreme erectile and sexual dysfunction.

    Taken for: Narcolepsy
  • Take first thing in the morning.
