  • If you're on blood thinners, let your doctor know. Cefzil (cefprozil) can interact with your medications and make you more likely to bleed.

  • Cefzil (cefprozil) oral suspension contains phenylalanine and may not be a good choice for patients with phenylketonuria (PKU). PKU is a rare condition in which patients are born without the ability to properly break down an amino acid called phenylalanine. Talk with your doctor if you or a family member has PKU.
