  • Take with water 1 hour before or 2 hours after meals.
Kidneys and liver
  • Crixivan (indinavir) can damage your liver or worsen existing liver damage or hepatitis. Your doctor will do blood tests to check your liver regularly. If you notice yellowing of the eyes or skin, dark urine, or abdominal pain, talk to your doctor.
  • You can get kidney stones while taking Crixivan (indinavir), someones along with kidney failure or infection as well. It's recommended to drink at least 48 ounces of water a day, or as instructed by your doctor. Children are more likely than adults to get kidney stones from Crixivan (indinavir). Talk to your doctor if you notice any unusual symptoms such as pain in your abdominal area accompanied with nausea or vomiting, difficulty urinating, or blood in your urine.
