  • There is a manufacturer card you can get to help with the cost that works with your insurance.

  • You can't take iron supplements with it so make sure you're getting enough with the food you eat.

  • The medicine worked almost immediately at eliminating the acid causing blisters in my throat and pain in my stomach. It also helped my digestion. Less gas and healthier stools. After about a week of taking it I am so anxious and nervous. I feel like I drank 10 cups of coffee and every sound and touch is so irritating. I couldn't function I was so on-edge and angry.

  • Insurance balks with this. Likely need to go through other drugs first to prove to them its necessary over other options.

  • no. My only issue with this medication is it costs so much. However, It is nice that there's help from the company with a coupon to help. It is over $700.00 for 90 day supply, with the card it is over $500.00. If I didn't have insurance I don't think I could afford to continue on this. It does work, I used to take prevacid twice a day. Dexilant only once and no problems.

  • I took prilosec for years, I also took Nexium. Both failed to help my problems. Dexilant worked for me on the first day. Love it. Just wish my insurance didn't give me such a hassle with getting it...

  • I see a lot of people with issues taking this drug but for me it was the only one that worked. I was in such pain with G.E.R.D I wasn't eating. I was scared to eat. I was told 1 pill a day... too much of this stuff and I had some rather unpleasant side effects. I noticed the less I took the less the effects. SO I took 1 every 3 days at first, then 1 a week then it was 1 every 2 weeks and I could not believe how well it really put my reflex under control.

  • After taking it on a daily basis and getting the GERD under control, I was able to take every other day effectively which cuts down on the cost. Just recently switched to twice a week, with excellent results!
