  • I really love the effect of Focalin in low doses. Higher doses, I feel buzzed and like a robot. I take 2.5 mg, and weigh 155 lb. I strictly avoid caffeine as it makes me more scatter-brained - so no coffee, tea, or chocolate.

  • Promotes the want to do things. Helps focusing skills. Causes loss of appetite, but you can convince yourself to eat anyways.

  • Noticeable difference between generic and Brand with the XR. Worth the insurance hassle to get brand. Wouldn't recommend long-term use or taking it every day because tolerance can build quickly and needing higher doses more frequently increases the risk of abuse

  • Last med I was Rx for ADHD. Have been Rx Ritalin, Concerta, Stratera, Adderall, and a few others. This has worked the best. Most will feel euphoria for the first 2-3 weeks but will subside. Abuse potential not that high due to high amounts to get high.

  • It makes you wake up angry and irritable in the morning. This was bad. When I began picking at my skin, I stopped taking this medication.

  • turn off all electronics by like 10ish and if you don't you will most likely be up until 1. I go to bed around 1ish every night and it sucks because i have to get up at 6 everyday for school and I'm so exhausted all throughout the day.

  • The medication made me feel how my friend with ADHD described how she felt without her medication - very jumpy, hyper and unfocused

  • I couldn't take it in the afternoon, because it would keep me up for 12-15 hours afterwards.
