  • There was no weight gain with Geodon, unlike other medicines I have been on, I've actually been able to lose weight on it with diet and exercise. It does make you sleepy at higher doses but this side affect dwindles once your use to it.
    Taken for: Bipolar
Duration taken: Two years or more
  • worked perfectly for bipolar/psychosis however i was severely nauseous because i didn't take it with meals. be sure to eat enough with it and drink plenty of water (might make urine green). found it harder to get up in the morning/go to work because i was taking higher doses at night so i felt less groggy in the day. restlessness was bothersome. might go back on it because less weight gain than seroquel. probably the best injectable antipsychotic, worth cost.

  • A lot less side effects then Zyprexa. I feel a bit nauseous on ziprasidone but it's mild and goes away fast. TAKE WITH FOOD.

  • It worked very well to even out my moods. However, it greatly diminished my libido, to the point of rendering me basically asexual. I also found it took away some of my creativity (I'm an artist) and "spark."

  • I had an extremely bad anxiety attack that lasted hours. Impaired motor skills, hallucinatory thoughts. It was awful. That's on top of extreme insomnia.

  • Wow. Had all the side effects severely. Doctors said I could've easily been in serious trouble (coma, heart attack, etc.) as a teenager if I had been on it longer. I would fall asleep in school where nobody could wake me up.
