  • Use effective birth control or plan to stop Gilenya 2 months before getting pregnant. If you do become pregnant while on Gilenya (Fingolimod), you'll need to enroll in the Gilenya pregnancy registry.
  • Risks
  • Although Gilenya (Fingolimod) hasn’t been studied in pregnant women, studies in animals showed there may be a serious risk to babies. If you take it during pregnancy or breastfeed, it’s possible that some medicine may get into your baby’s blood. It takes 2 months to remove Gilenya (Fingolimod) from your body, so the risk remains after you stop the medicine. If you get pregnant while taking it, you'll need to enroll in the Gilenya (Fingolimod) pregnancy registry.
