  • Take it in the evening before you go to sleep, it keeps you even throughout the next day. Make sure to not take it too late, otherwise drowsiness can occur in the AM

  • It takes a bit to kick in, so it works best as a now-and-then pill for when you're going to be in a situation you know makes you anxious.

  • Not for sudden anxiety attacks, but can help keep a baseline to prevent both my panic attacks and control mania with bipolar disorder.

  • Warning! Although Klonopin and other benzos work well to relax you, they cause PHYSICAL dependence. I was on a low dose (1 mg) and it took me a year to get off of it. A BMJ article (9/2014) says that benzo use causes dementia. Stay away!

  • I had bad side effects not listed, sharp/throbbing breast pain behind both nipples. Very embarrassing cause I'm a guy. My Dr said it was causing inflammation of my breast ducts no longer used in men. I worried it was cancer at first

    General work-related anxiety
  • It took me a long time to realize that I experienced long term memory loss related to taking clonazepam. Clonazepam reduces my IQ by about 10 points. It reduces my ability to think and learn.

  • It worked for a few months and then turned on me. Caused more symptoms and the ones it was meant to prevent came back worse than ever. It took over two years to taper even though the doc said I could quit in a few weeks. Off five months and still not healed yet. Look up benzo withdrawal syndrome on Wiki. If I helped one person I feel good. This is POISON!

  • If taking 2 or 3 times daily, make sure to take them at the timed intervals (every 6 hours, every 12 hours, etc.). Missing these time frames by more than two hours can really effect you and you don't physically feel it 'wear off'.
