  • When I started this medication, I really felt very calm. It is like when the rain stops, you realize how noisy it was few seconds ago. But I got the ugly side effect of coughing which did not go away until 1 month after I stopped taking.
    Taken for: High blood pressure
    Duration taken: A couple weeks
  • Had severe muscle pain (enough to make walking/biking almost impossible) at the 20mg dose, had to go down to 10mg dose.

    Taken for: High blood pressure

  • Dry Cough - Deal with it. It's a lot cheaper and more effective than other meds that don't have this side-effect.

  • Started out at too high a dosage--lowered blood pressure to 72/45, very dizzy and odd-feeling. Dropped to one-half the first dosage, much better at 100/60.

  • It will make you sleepy!I took a very low dose, 2.5 mg., to protect my kidney function from lupus. I had to get off it due to a life-threatening, but comical, allergic reaction: angio-edema causing facial swelling.
