  • I drink kefir every morning to counteract the diarrhea. Other than the diarrhea I have had excess sweating when I work out
    Age: 25
    Gender: Man
Taken for: Long term major depressive disorder
Duration taken: A month or so
  • This is absolutely the only depression drug I've ever taken that WORKS & didn't make me feel like a Zombie or tired all the time. I had more energy and there were NO Sexual side effects. I actually had a big increase in Libido.

    Gender: Woman
    Duration taken: A few months
  • Take with food! Helps with the awful stomach side effects, & is imperative for the drug to work. Taking without food decreases efficiency. Viibryd, gave me constant "brain zaps" even when taken consistently, and worse when starting/ending.
    Age: 29
    Gender: Woman
    Taken for: Depression, anxiety
Duration taken: A year or so
  • If I forget to take Viibryd, or take it 4 hours or more late, I start to feel very poorly. Benadryl helps with the side effects when forgetting to take it. Overall it's been a great drug for me-- it worked when Welbutrin, Paxil, didn't.

    Taken for: Depression and anxiety

  • Higher doses led to anorgasmia (inability to ejaculate). Lowering the dose and supplementing with Ritalin has allowed successful treatment and ended the side-effects.

  • The price is way to high but I feel like a new person when taking the Viibryd.

  • Taking it for 10 weeks...still don't think it's working

  • I've been on multiple antidepressants and this is the only one I've noticed that truly has made a difference. I take 40mg daily in the morning. I had abnormal dreams/nightmares for the first few days of taking it/increasing dose but they subsided it was worth the wait. I have not had sexual side effects or weight gain/loss, though I do sweat more than I had previously.

  • All medicine has side effects. Have to weigh the inconvenience of side effects over the inconvenience of being depressed

  • Helps to take with food and plenty of water. Mornings have personally worked best.
