  • Found out online that Zyrtec was going to be approved for chronic hives. Glory saints hallelujah I was so happy to discover it. Nothing else worked. Benedryl and other fast acting antihistimines were not making a dent, and slathering myself
    Taken for: Chronic hives
    Duration taken: A couple weeks
  • Take it at night to help with drowsiness.

  • I appreciate that Zyrtec works without making me tired. I wish I had found the generic version at Costco more quickly!

  • I have multiple allergies & Zyrtec keeps them under control year-round (along with Singulaire for food allergies & Flonase for pollen.) I like it because it doesn't make me woozy the way Claritin does. Best taken right before bed.

  • Unsurprisingly, zyrtec dries you out, so expect to feel that in your mouth/nose. Hydrating will help. However, this was all worth it as it really did resolve my allergy symptoms (dramatically) within a couple of hours.

  • I used to try Benadryl for my Chronic Idiopathic Hives with barely any help. Zyrtec does the trick and is completely non-drowsy. I was diagnosed about 7-8 years ago, and Zyrtec has helped ever since. Take it once daily as needed! Good luck

  • Takes 2-3 to start working. Better has preventative rather than reactive. Still does the job though.

  • I took Zyrtec when the drug first came out by prescription. Overall the drug made me feel better than I had felt in years. I have read where Zyrtec makes people feel like zombies makes me feel alert and more energetic.

  • It helped tremendously with runny nose and itchy eyes but hasn't done a thing for the post nasal drip. I think it may have made it worse.
