- People with liver problems should not take Accolate (zafirlukast).
- Must take twice a day compared to Singulair which is only once a day.
- Only for children 5 or older and adults.
- You have to store Accolate (zafirlukast) in its original bottle.
- Can take up to 2 weeks for better control of asthma symptoms and up to 3 to 4 weeks for maximum effects.
- Can cause fungal infections of the mouth and throat, especially if you don't rinse your mouth after use.
