Farydak (panobinostat) can be used with other medicines to treat multiple myeloma when other treatments have failed, but it is still relatively new and undergoing further studies.

As with all chemotherapy, Cytoxan (cyclophosphamide) has many side effects but is also very effective against different cancers.

Downsides
  • Farydak (panobinostat) is still relatively new as it was approved in 2015, so there is less treatment experience with this medication compared to older medications.
  • Only used when other treatments for multiple myeloma have failed at least twice.
  • Cytoxan (cyclophosphamide) can seriously damage the kidneys.
  • Cytoxan (cyclophosphamide) can cause many different side effects throughout the body.
