    • Chronic use of certain steroids and anti-seizure medicines
    • Chronic alcohol use
    • Smoking

    Women who use Lupaneta (leuprolide / norethindrone) may experience calcium loss in their bones, which can lead to osteoporosis and broken bones. The risk goes up the longer you take Lupaneta (leuprolide / norethindrone), which is why you should only use it for a certain amount of time. You can only use Lupaneta (leuprolide / norethindrone) for 6 consecutive months to help prevent bone thinning. You should not take it for more than 12 months in your lifetime. If you need to repeat Lupaneta (leuprolide / norethindrone) in the future, your doctor will run tests to make sure your bones are still healthy.
