    • Higher risk if:
    • Taking antidepressants, lithium, some migraine medications, and St. John's wort.

    Serotonin syndrome is a rare but potentially life-threatening condition caused by too much serotonin in the brain. Make sure your doctor knows all the medications you are taking, since some medications can increase your risk. If you notice a fast heart rate, sweating, muscle stiffness/spasms, fever, or confusion, let your doctor or nurse who's administering it right away.
