Who We Are and What We Do
We’re Iodine, Inc. We provide information and tools to help you understand your health and your options.
We provide the website located at www.iodine.com (the ‘Site’), mobile device applications (or apps), including Iodine and Start (each, an ‘Iodine App’), and health information services accessible via the Site and the Iodine Apps.
To make these Terms easier to read, the Site, the Iodine Apps, and our services are collectively called ‘Iodine.’
Acceptance of Terms
By using Iodine, including by downloading an Iodine App, you accept these Terms. If you don’t agree to these Terms, you may not use Iodine.
What We Don’t Do
Iodine doesn’t provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or prescriptions. We’re here to provide information to help you make better-informed health decisions, but we’re not your doctor. Please seek medical advice and treatment from a professional healthcare provider. If you think you may have a medical emergency, call your doctor or 911 immediately.
We don’t recommend or endorse any specific drugs, tests, physicians, products, procedures, opinions, ‘off-label’ drug uses, or other information that may be mentioned on Iodine.
Any health information services, suggestions, or other content on Iodine are for informational purposes only. You assume full responsibility for the use of any information obtained through Iodine and agree that we’re not responsible or liable for any claim, loss, or damage arising from using the information. If you rely on any information provided by us or on Iodine, you do so at your own risk.
These Terms may be updated from time to time. We may solicit user feedback about changes but are under no obligation to use it. We’ll notify you of any changes in one or more of the following ways at least 30 days before changes are implemented:
- By email
- On the Iodine website
Iodine will evolve over time. We may change or discontinue all or any part of Iodine, at any time and without notice, at our sole discretion.
No International Users
Iodine is intended for users in the United States.
Iodine is not appropriate to use outside of the United States because certain information, including medication information, provided on Iodine will not be suitable for users in other countries.
For example, medications may have different names and labeling in other countries. Medications used to treat a condition in the United States may not be prescribed for the same condition in another country.
No Commercial Use
The content on Iodine is for your personal, individual use only, and not for commercial or external use. Users may not solicit or promote their products or services on Iodine.

Registering Your Iodine Account
If you want to use certain features of Iodine, you’ll have to create an account (“Iodine Account”). You can do this via the Site, certain Iodine Apps, or through your account with certain third-party social networking services such as Facebook or Google (each, an “SNS Account”). If you choose the SNS Account option, we’ll create your Account by extracting from your SNS Account certain personal information such as your name and email address and other personal information that your privacy settings on the SNS Account permit us to access.
It’s important that you provide us with accurate, complete and up-to-date information for your Iodine Account and you agree to update such information, as needed, to keep it accurate, complete and up-to-date. If you don’t, we might have to suspend or terminate your Iodine Account. You agree that you won’t disclose your Iodine Account password to anyone and you’ll notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your Iodine Account. You’re responsible for all activities that occur under your Iodine Account, whether or not you know about them.
